What are the projects that Miner Challenge Works with?
Each year Miner Challenge Team Leaders select a social issue focus to design the trip around. As a result, the projects Miner Challenge works with vary from year to year. Over the years we have partnered with parks, rebuilt homes, and volunteered with organizations that serve members of their community, including youth and homeless populations.
Who can participate in Miner Challenge?
Any Missouri S&T student, undergraduate or graduate, can participate in Miner Challenge.
How much does it cost?
While cost can vary depending on the trip expenses, we maintain a commitment to keep the cost to students as low as possible. Over the programs existence, the cost to students has been maintained at around $200. The remaining trip cost are covered through fundraising by the selected trip participants
